Thanks…Wont make the grand slam. Just jumped in Conroe since it’s pretty much home water. Not often we get to fish for 50k. That thurs- sat schedule for the slam doesn’t work for my partners work schedule.

We’re friends with the 8th place team…they were flipping. We caught everything in 1-3 feet. Castledine mentioned they were power fishing on Dunkin’s podcast. Everybody was throwing chatterbaits in practice, then the practice pressure got to the fish. Conroe fishes extremely small. 150 boats is a huge field on that lake. It was a boat circus. I have to say it was pretty chill…I didn’t hear about or experience any squabbles on the water, everybody hunkered down in their small areas and fished.

    Congrats.

I can remember in the mid 80’s when that lake was infested bad with Hydrilla grass everywhere so they introduced those iirc Japanese weed eaters. How’s the Grass now. I have not been to Conroe since about ‘88.

Elites. I fished there in the late 80’s when there was no grass. Carp were in the yards eating with high water.
