    Question OMC controller to Mercury motor adaptor plug

    I have a 1996 Evinrude 150 currently. I have come across a low hour 1999 mercury 175 for a good price. I know there is an adaptor for pre 1996 omc (red plug) to post 1997 OMC motors. Is there an adaptor similar to go from the OMC red plug to a mercury motor? Or am I better off buying merc controls and installing those?
