    85' 200hp link & sync, timing questions

Have an 85' 200hp (ser# 6625329) that we have rebuilt carbs, fuel pump, plugged oiler, removed idle stabilizer and warning module. I now need to go through and do link and sync and set timing.
Have looked and read the Clymer's book. Just seems as if it's just not complete on procedure.
Have been trying to find an actual Mercury service manual for that motor but, just seems to be a little illusive.
Was wondering if anyone would know what Merc manual that would be or, would anyone have a copy of the correct procedure that they could possibly share.
    Thanks in advance!

You can only get the service manuals from Mercury in hard copies. Can order from any Mercury dealer with serial number or you can order from Don, the moderator and selfless guru and owner of European Marine. The link below is how
to order from here and there is a discount and free shipping.

Lots of used copies out there is you look around, there’s a popular online auction site that a lot of people use. Can also find them scanned in out there for download too. Some frown upon that but it is what it is. That being said, use the oem manuals, not the aftermarket.

We do not support bootleg/copyright-infringing materials in the forums here. Just be aware that any "digital" copy is just that.

Absolutely nothing wrong with purchasing a USED manual, however. Or purchase a new one from any Mercury Dealer.
