Saw a car last week where the side window wouldn't roll up all the way. Had about a 4 inch gap and they had spray foamed it close.

My Ranger is a 2000. Single owner previous to me. The passenger side tail light was damaged when I bought the boat. In a pinch to keep the light in the broken fiberglass and the rubber gasket I back filled it with spray foam to keep the lamps from falling off during launching. It served the purpose for a year. I eventually fastened some bungies to do a better job till I can do a repair.

I loved the one where the customer couldn't find Seafoam so he used Spray Foam in his engine!

Was that wrong? Should he not have done that?

A local “mechanic/used car dealer” filled a cracked frame with spray foam, sold the car, then failed the inspection the following year because of it

I've "repaired" cab corners on my f150 with spray foam and bondo. Got me through another inspection!

Isn’t that what ranger uses to hold their boats together?

I “repaired” a 1978 Chevy CK20 cab corner with metal tape and spray paint to get it to pass inspection so I could sell it. I’ve never put spray foam on a car or truck!
