I don't have THAT much terminal tackle, but as a crappie fishermen who's terminal tackle is usually substantially smaller than bass guys, I'd throw rocks at plano boxes all day long. These days scoping, I fish primarily hair jigs, which I tie myself, and keep in Gami-3600 slit foam boxes, and my terminal tackle consists of 4-5 sizes of lead and tungsten mullet weights, rubber bobber stops for pegging weights, and some small barrel swivels...theres no way in the work, magnets or not, I'd ever go back to a plano without molded dividers. Their "terminal tackle" box isnt terrible, but other than that, no thanks. Buy once cry once. Single dad, blue collar job, not made of money by any means, but some things are just worth paying for and not halfassing. Tungsten isnt magnestic and 1/16oz tungsten is tiny enough to slip under gaps in a lot of 3700 style boxes. Oddly enough, on the flip side, what rubber/soft plastic I do use, gets tossed into gallon zip locks.

I tried the Ike Series boxes from Flambeau and love them - they are designed to keep little stuff from moving around from one compartment to the next.

Correct, but the shallow one meant for terminal tackle is best suited for that purpose and not included.

For years I've saved all my small prescription bottles with twist & snap tops. If I'm running short I purchase them at the local drug store rather cheaply. Then peel off the labels on the used ones, use masking tape to label the size & type of hooks, weights or other tackle. They are easy to open and store. And best of all water tight. I have a deep Plano box for the hooks and one for the weights.

Gotcha. I was considering the colony 28 thin for terminal tackle, not the 2" deep regular one.

gotcha. Didn’t see you said thin. They only sell kits in standard size.

I think you can buy thin empty then get containers you want after market. I’ll be home around 5 and lost pics of my buzbe

I use a Bass Mafia thin 3700 size box for my terminal tackle. Don’t see a need for the separate weight holders of some boxes. I glue a piece of padded kitchen drawer liner to the inside of the lid to keep small parts from migrating to other spots. Also keep hooks together with safety pins by sizes and styles.

This is the only box I have purchased and stuck with for more than a season. I have about 50 different hooks/weights in this one and everything is water proof. It's expensive but I'm happy with it. Easy to swap out the pill bottles for different lakes/species but I really haven't needed to.

Cal Coast battle box + ammo pouch.

I didn't know the ammo pouch existed, will be ordering one, but the battle box is the best terminal box I have found. Not a fan of the bass mafia box. I was constantly having hooks slide under the dividers.

Just bought one tonight...definitely seems to be built like a tank compared to the old Plano 3700's.

I have been using Rare earth magnets for years. I don't glue them in, I just toss them in each compartment and everything just sticks to it, then when I need something, I pull the magnet out and erecting comes with it, I don't have to fish it to with my fingers. Works for hooks, snaps and swivels, anything that will stick to a magnet.

But if you want to adhere them, found automotive 2 sided tape works great. I have had magnet strips in my jerk bait boxes.
