Looking to get some zako’s to try on the jack hammers and copperhead bladed jigs.
Zako comes in either 3.75” or 4.5”
what size is usually the best size for the bladed jigs?

I like the 4", haven't seen the 3 3/4 or 4 1/2 versions. Have a link?

I use the 4 inch on both. My favorite trailer by far
Thought they came in 3 or 4" sizes. 4" is the most common.
4" I've never heard of the 3.75 or the 4.50.
Just FYI - Tackle Warehouse has both 3" and 4" 30% off (and all Yamamoto for that matter)
My bad, I don’t know what I was thinking. My wires must have been crossed late last night when posting.
OK so 4” is most the common trailer?
I have 3 packs of 4” in (grn pmpkn/blk flk, watermelon blk flk & sight flash).
wanting to get some other colors but wanted to make sure of best size before I place another order.
Edit: I figured it out. I was looking at the other baits they have on sale and looked at the large flappin hog 4.5” and the 3.75” flappin hog II just before posting about the Zako. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catp...MACREATRS.html

I use the small size ( 3 inch) Zako with the Mini Max.
4" on Traditional size 3" on mini max. With that said I use the Zmann Razor shad and chatterspike. I believe the action is better and they last longer.

I've used the zako and it was ok. Now all I use is the spunk shads for my jackhammer trailers. They are the perfect trailer for it in my opinion.
That Kamikaze Swimon is what I’ve been using but quite frequently the little holes in the tail get looped and stuck on the hook. It takes a few seconds to remove it but it’s irritating knowing it could of cost a bite if the action was fubared from this.

They also make the Kamikaze Swimon split tail that I have not heard anything about or tried.

I have some Yum split tails if I want to use a split tail but not in all the good colors.

I rarely use the zako unless my partner is tearing them up. Mostly use a 4" super fluke (lasts forever) or a little dipper.

I believe they all work, some better than others for many different reasons. I like to have an assortment of flavors so to speak. That allows me to throw something different when the fish are tired of the bait everyone has been throwing on that body of water. Look at me trying to sound like I actually know what I’m talking about lol.

Trailer matters about 15% of time from what I can tell. Buddy uses zakos, once in awhile he will get bit when I’m not. I have some, use them if needed. The super fluke jr works great and I’ve been using same one for 6 trips. Zako is a 1-2 fish trailer most of the time.
