    Kansas Deer Hunt

The wife and I are wanting to deer hunt in Kansas this up coming season. Do you have to apply ahead of time for non-resident tags? If so, how/where do we apply? I’ve looked on the Kansas Game and fish site but can’t figure anything out. Any help on where to call or what website to look on is much appreciated. Thanks.

    KS is a draw hunt.
You can apply through KPW website.
Good luck as its pretty tough to get tags there now from what I hear.

I hunted unit 11 for several years, it was 100% draw at the time. Haven’t been back since I killed my 200, I’ll ask my buddy that owned that farm how the draw is now, he me a few years ago that they had a die off and numbers were down.

The draw is now and ends the 26th. I didn’t get drawn last year.

I will tell you the deer numbers are WAY WAY down in the north central part of the state. I thought numbers were bad 2 years ago but last year the numbers were plain pathetic.
In-laws have land in KS so I am able to hunt it every year.
