    Ultrex 24 volt MSI problem

    Can anyone steer me in the right direction here? Motor was working fine for a couple hours this morning. Then it went haywire. When I hit spot lock it will spin 2 to 3 times in the same direction. Foot pedal works but not correctly. I can make the head spin 2 to 3 times in the same direction also with the foot pedal. I move tbe pedal maybe 1/4 - 1/2 inch and the head will do a complete 360. Same outcome steering left or right. Any ideas? It’s under warranty but I just got home for two weeks and don’t want to be without boat the whole time I am home. I can fish without spotlock if I have to then drop it off in 2 weeks unless it is something I can fix.

    What seems to be 2-3 times is 370 in one direction from dead center to 360 in the opposite direction. Posible sensor board. Try using the remote.

    FYI it was a gear in the steering housing that was bad causing the problem. Replaced under warranty in about 45 minutes and I was back underway.
