    Yeah, it’s nothing exciting… not a bass or bassboat….

just a plain ole lil fish but man it has to be the prettiest fish in the swamp!!CC4E815A-EA03-423B-93AC-D4DC91078548.jpeg

Always called those "mollys". Have caught a few on bass lures. They always give a good fight.

I don’t get to fish much but it seems like when I’d catch those in south LA, the water was too black and when I catch them in NWA, the water is too clear but it looks like your water is really stained (guessing from the recent monsoon y’all had). Agree though, absolutely beautiful fish, I love God’s artwork!!

it’s a lil bayou on the north shore of lake Ponchartrain… I don’t fish it much but I love the town for after fishing activities.. it’s usually pretty clean water… rain didn’t affect it too much as it directly connected to lake P…. Looks dirty in the pic but it was actually quite pretty.. doesn’t get black.. I don’t fish black water.. ever..

Thanks. We have them in Ct. One lake in particular has a decent amount. A guy in the club I started out in had it in mind to set the state record from that lake. At the time it was 12 inches. They are aggressive and will hit a crankbait or jig.

Man at the hundreds of them we use to catch out of little ponds round our house on bacon when we were growing up. We still catch them occasionally at pickwick.
    Nice picture
