Fulton 3200lb winch on Phoenix Trailer Question

Has anybody swapped out the stock winch with the heavier duty two speed winch? My factory winch made an ugly sound while cranking the last inch yesterday and if I’m going to replace it I would go with the heavier duty version if the holes line up on the trailer.

Switching to the two stage winch is the first mod I make to the boat. Same holes - fits perfect. I always recommend going to this winch so you don’t have to aggressively power load on less than perfect ramps.

I did too. This setup seems to be real finicky about how it sits on the ramp for loading/unloading and I use a couple really shallow ramps. Was having to winch quite a bit and was worried about dropping a nut. Two-speed is nice to have.

Steep ramp yesterday. New winch made a huge difference in ease of cranking the last few inches. Should have done this years ago!
