Sometimes the crappie will pull a fast one on you. We get to the lake and it's 3 ft high and 68° water. Well let's check some flooded brush,nothin. Well let's try brush and lay down in the 10 to 15 ft range. By noon had maybe 4 crappie.
Now the rest of the story decide to try some brush piles in 21 to 23 ft and when we left the 1st one we had 41 in the box. Went to the next pile and finished our limit of 50 and continued to catch and release fish for about an hour. We estimate we caught close to a 100 crappie off those 2 brush piles. Two men fishing.
