    G Loomis NRX+ 893c

    What is the max t-rig weight and max depth you feel comfortable fishing with this rod?

    I don’t have a + I have the older 893. For me 3/8 is as heavy as I will go and normally no deeper than 15 foot. Hopefully somebody will chime in on the + model.

    I'd agree 3/8 oz. is ball park, but I also believe the water resistance of the actual plastic comes into play as well. I like small profile plastics with the rod. I caught fish a few years ago at Bull Shoals on a 3/4 wobble head and Strike King Menace in up to 50ft of water, because I wanted the soft tip for the application..so there are some exceptions..

    This is my main rod that use for all manner of presentations. I fish up to 3/4 ounce weights on it and have fished it 40 ft deep before but don't fish that deep often. I usually have a jig on for deeper water but still on this rod. This is my favorite rod. I have several between nrx+ and glx and I use them for so many things. I have one that always has a megabass magdraft on it and it fishes just fine. I stopped paying attention to line and weight recommendations on rods long ago
