    Oil Leaking?

I have a 2020 Mercury 250pro xs S# 2b775294. After I put the boat on the trailer this weekend, I noticed a small amount of oil (smelled like gear oil) coming out of the water intake screens on both sides of the lower unit? Called for warranty service appointment and have a wait to get it looked at. Any ideas as to what Im looking at going forward? Worst time for this to happen

One of the more common causes would be the driveshaft seal carrier seals or o-ring.

Just so you're prepared.... Your warranty ended in May, 2023. You have a Service Contract (GOLD Product Protection), but seals/gaskets are not covered under Product Protection plans.
