Anyone use light braid on the Daiwa Zillion G?

Just wondering if a 10 or 15 pound braid will work ok on the Zillion G? I've used straight 8 pound flourocarbon on it with no issues, but flouro doesn't dig in on the spool the same way that light braid seems to. Since this will be on more of a finesse setup, I'd like to get away with using lighter braid and then adding a flouro or copoly leader if I want. But I'm just not sure how it will handle the light braid. Any input would be appreciated.

Depends on the brand/model of braid. If it's PP or 832, it should be fine. If it's YGK X8 Upgrade, IMO, that's way too thin. I think if you use a more standard U.S. spec braid in the 15-20 range, you should be fine.

I was planning to go with 15lb 832 braid since I've got a spool of that at home.

15lb braid works just fine on the Zillion G
