    Magnetic North Setting Solix

I have a Solix 12 gen 1 on my network, and want to check that it is set to magnetic North for heading sensor purposes. I have gone through all the menu items I can find, and checked the online manual, and still cannot locate where that setting is found. Can someone more familiar with Solix provide me a pointer to that setting?
    Thanks in advance.

Out of curiosity, why would you use magnetic north instead of true north?

A heading sensor is a magnetic compass, it points to the magnetic North Pole. Map North (True) is where all the longitude lines meet at 0 degrees latitude. GPS relates to True North. Those two Norths are not in the same place.

If you have a heading sensor connected, select the Chart view and change North Reference between the two choices and see how much the map moves.

Thanks Wayne, I understand the difference between the two, was more curious on the use case for using magnetic in his situation as opposed to true.

If you fish at the bow and have waypoints as targets, that gives you the best accuracy to hit the targets since GPS cannot calculate direction (course) when at less than .6 mph and is not accurate until 4.5mph+
