I'd pay extra for UPS or Fedex delivery of a rod if it was available. I bought a couple of reels from American Legacy. I believe they're shipped Fedex. Sorry for your bad luck.

Wow...thats bad. Had a couple split the tube, but the rods survived.
Was it shipped priority? If do there is insurance on it. I don’t understand how this crap happens . I have been carrier for 18 years and never had issues with packages
It looks like mine but at least the taped mine back together. Yes the rod was also broken.

I would be more mad at the goofball who thinks its a great idea to ship in a cardboard tube.....................Sorry for your "Disaster"
I had one that was broken via UPS. They actually sent it back before I even got it. So I never seen the rod itself but the tracking mentioned that it was damaged.
That sucks
The last time FedX shipped a rod to me they through it in a snow filled ditch because they didnt want to get stuck in the driveway. Good luck
I wonder how many rods they will eat before they start shipping them in pvc?
They don't eat them.... Actually I think they insure them at "FULL PRICE" so they receive more than the sale price. HMMMM Make you wonder, RIGHT???
Ship it in schedule 80 pvc pipe, bet they wont snap that to easy.
This is one I got Friday
I had one come in broke in half one time. The carrier told me they should have wrote do not bend on the tube. I was like really why do you think they put it in a big long tube. Lol
Maybe rods need to be shipped in PVC tubes and the customer returns the tubes once delivery is taken and a credit is returned to the customer once returned to the shipper?
Cost too much. The weight of PVC is about 4X that of cardboard. A cardboard tube should be plenty. Always ship insured. Larry
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.
