Thanks for reminding me. Show me in the instruction manual please. I must have skimmed over it. Hopefully it is there for others to follow properly.

I figured it out!!! The silver clip has a piece that you have to hold down while setting the head on the mount. Maybe I skipped over that part in the instructions. Wow! What a day.
Also hit...
It’s got something to do with the little silver clip at the end of the spring. I got it to seat after taking the head off but know it won’t come up!
Is there supposed to be this gap when the motor sits in the mount at the front?
I have slammed it it just will not go down. The clip won’t go to the bottom slot that locks it.
Finally get the electronics working and now the motor won’t seat when deployed and therefore when I turn it on it raises up out of the water. I’m jinxed.
Does a charger come with it?
So a 36 volt 60 amp is typical for a 36 volt trolling motor?
Thanks. I thought I needed a 100 amp battery for all day fishing?
Is the 8 amp charger that comes with the Dakota 36 v battery enough to charge overnight?
Ha! Good one!
Thanks guys!
Am I correct in saying that a 24 v and a 12 v combined would give me the 36 volts as well?
Thanks guys!
Either way I will have to get a new charger.
So I could run one 36 v and not need 3 12v?
What is the advantage of 36 volts? I gave a new Ghost and it will run 24 or 36 volts.
I finally got it all working. Thanks to all you guys for your help.
So I finally got it to show up in device list. Tried to update from the FS and it is stuck with all the lights on the foot pedal flashing and will not turn off. I’m going to drink.
Well I’ve done everything exactly like the pic above. Still nothing. I connected the power to the accessory thing on the bow. I’m lost
Perfect!
Thank you. I’m going to start over. Good info. I wish I was a tech guy.
One more thing. Do I have to be connected to the console or can I just connect to the bow graph and the ghost work correctly?
Shouldn’t it connect to the app even without the NMEA set up?
No t at the console. The elite Fs has a male connection and the NMEA cable has a male connection so it won’t connect to the fs.

So I got Uber the console and found what looks the end of the NEMA cable not connected to anything. Where would the cable connect? The port in the back of my elite fs at the console. ?
