Using the calculator, here's what I'm finding....

13 1/4 x 22 (I added one to make it 23 on the calculator)

53mph GPS
2.0 gear
Shows 10% slip.
That about right for this rig? I think the prop needs an inch taken out, but just wanna get some other stuff clear first.

Yes that is good for yours.. Most T loaded Bass Boats are between 10 and 12% slip.. Louis

Question I have a 1997 Procraft dual console merc 200 efi turning 6200 rpm 1.87 gear ratio 25 pitch trophy (actually a 24 with a little cup) running 65 w/ 2 guys cooler and gear half tank gas. shows 17% slip water pressure is right at 15. How far off am from as good as i'm going to get and where should i go from here? Thanks

JP, sounds like you need to try a true 25 or 26 pitch prop, need to watch your positive trim. Your slip #er should be more like 12%
how much difference am i going to notice if i can go from 17-12 percent slip numbers?

took the first step and lowered the motor 1/2 inch to see if that helps.

I have a 921 phoenix with 250 pro xs im weighing about 3000lbs give or take 100lbs I am running a 26 fury 75mph turning it 5800 trying to get the most mph out of it what do I need to do thanks for any info

Below is what I have always used to calc prop slip:
RPM X Prop pitch =
1056 x gear ratio =
Example:
6500 rpm x 28 pitch = 182,000
1056 x 1.75 = 1848
182,000 divided by 1848 = 98.48 mph "theoretic speed" sub track actual gps speed from theoretic speed and thats the % or efficiency loss.
So I came into this post a little late. My numbers are greatly off, as I come up with a neg number. -1.62???
