1997 P200TLRV Pro V stalls in gear
I recently bought a 1997 Skeeter ZX202C with a 1997 Yamaha P200TLRV. It’s in really good condition and runs very well. However, if I put the motor in gear and let it idle, it idles really low and sometimes dies. It idles just fine in neutral. I did some looking at it and I found the carburetor throttle roller has a flat spot where it contacts the cam. I’m wondering if that’s enough to cause a drop in idle speed and possibly the stalling issue. I need to order a service manual for it.
1- I’m having a tough time finding a replacement roller. I looked through some parts websites like Crowley and I don’t see it anywhere.
2- I’m having a tough time finding idle speed specs and idle speed adjustment procedures.
3- Is the factory tach in the dash pretty reliable for setting idle?

Replacement rollers are available. See illustration below.
Idle speed specs and idle speed adjustment procedures are in the applicable service manual. https://www.yamahapubs.com/home/sear..._name=P200TLRV
Tachometers for the most part are accurate.
