I just got this 1989 Javelin 396XFD. I am trying to locate a gas tank for this boat. Its supposed to be installed in a long compartment behind the seats.
The dimensions are approx 68 x 7 x 12. Does anyone have any suggestions for a tank that would fit back there, or possibly a tank for sale that would fit?
Get an aluminum tank made
Thats what I was thinking but im sure its going to be expensive. Also thought about welding my own, but I have no experience welding. I have plenty of room in the back under the deck for the time being. Will keep on looking I guess.
West marine has plenty of moeler marine tanks.
Might be cheaper than u think. A factory plastic tank won’t be cheap. Let us know what you find out

Check Moeller Marine website. They make the tanks for many boat manufacturers.
