Expride / NRX

Which expride would be comparable in action to 853 jwr ? I’m a NRX guy but this rod would see minimal use for what I want it for ! Thanks ahead

There isnt a very good comp for the 853 JWR in the Expride lineup. Closest would probably be the Expride 72MH but that rod is more universal than a JWR in my opinion.

Whats the intended purpose? Knowing what it would be used for will probably be helpful in getting your recommendations.

5/16 and 1/4 finesse jigs , I couldn’t find any that where close either but thought maybe I just didn’t know ! I may just go NRX

Yeah I wouldn’t say there is an exact match in the Expride lineup. The Loomis 853 is going to fall somewhere between the Expride 7’2 medium and the 7’2 medium heavy.

Casting wise, I'd say the 6'10" medium (jerk bait rod), but truly closest action and power would be the 7 ft Med spinning rod.

I’d say step up one line and find a 611 M+ in the Adrena. It will do all you want at a fraction of the price. Incredible and super versatile rod
