Broke down and replaced my 23 y/o spare.

Yep, I gave in and replace the original equipment spare on my 01 Back crap trailer. The tires were the best thing about it! My tires are G/Y Endurance and are going on year 7 with no issues, so I figured It was time for the spare just in case. I will see how long these tires last. The original ones Goodyear marathons were Canadian made and had around 14 years on them. They made at least 4 trips to Canada at expressway speeds 75+ with no issues, just wore down. IMHO this is how tires should last, but China and being cheap sure has given trailer tires a bad rap. CJ

I accidentally let my boat trailer tires get to 10 years because it was garage kept, and I immediately pulled them and the spare and got 3 replaced a couple of years ago. I would change every 5-6 years or sooner if the boat was kept outside, but 6-7 years should be max usage from a set of tires regardless of tread depth and if they are showing dryrot or not.
