New chili brand

Chili is so easy to make and is much. Better than the canned stuff. I have not had canned chili in 20 years.

I use the "Wick Fowler 2 Alarm" chili packet and add beef, beans (YEP), tomato sauce, etc... I love that stuff.

the last time I bought store bought chili it was a dry mix called Bear Creek Darn Good Chili. Man talk about a fart maker. I let one rip in the car after eating it for lunch, it made my eyes water and I could literally taste the smell in my mouth

Only time I eat chili from a can is if we are having chili dogs, but it is not real chili as it doesn't have beans, it's coney sauce.

Real chili has beans, pinto AND kidney.

Coney sauce and Coney dogs, I find interesting..... Coney meaning Coney Island, NY, but they are more popular in Mich. and other midwesten states. The sauce is actually of Greek or Macedonian decent. Its not actually that popular in NY.......

All the I make my own, what cut are you grinding?

I dont grind my own but i use 3 different meats in mine. i use 80/20 ground beef, a rib eye steak cut into chunks and seared and some bone in short ribs which get seared and cooked in the chili while it simmers, once cooked i remove the bones( or find them in the pot if they fell off) and shred the meat. Bone in is important, it adds a lot of richness to the chili.

I’ll be making my first batch of the year this weekend for a church event. Should I flame it up or keep it mild?

I say stay mild unless you want to see a line forming at the restroom. Lol
