not sure how dumb this question is but what is a datum?? ive always looked at lake level +/- normal and gone from there...... :D

you guys can check out another one on wunderground.com it is under the wundermap and you turn on the usgs option on the left hand side of the screen. plus you can look at live radar, wind speeds, temp. it pretty much is what the maps are you see on the news. very good site. operates through noaa aswell.
