Just as a general notion, if you changed to a 4-blade prop in 24 pitch you’d probably be amazed at how the low-end performance improves. You’d also lose 2 mph or so on top end, but on short runs the elapsed time would be virtually the same. Nothing is more annoying than a boat that won’t get on plane, and of course it’s also dangerous [to the engine and prop] to be dragging butt for 100 yards on every takeoff.

I have always liked a four blade better than a three blade on every boat I’ve had. I did just get a tempest plus to try also though

Height of rooster tail at the same time
make sure only one large hole plug in the tempest
set the motor to 3.5 in for a better hole shot
24 Fury 3 , no plugs will so better
