Tyler, I seem to remember you getting some good numbers from a Fury. I haven't tried a 3 blade but would like to see what would happen. My boss has a 27 Tempest on his 250 XS I could try. Think it would be worth the spin?
read my previous post...the tempest is a Great prop, but is the slowest of the 3...FURY will be fastest on top end, but will take longest distance to get to that speed...
trophy when pitched right will be just as fast, but will get you there in a HURRY...just takes some dialing in with PVS/prop ring to get to come out of hole without cavitating/peddling...

Because you have the sporty I don't know how much it would be worth to run on your boat, soley because the Fury likes to be buried deep. At least on mine it performed way better when it was there. Low Slung a stock fury will not be as fast as any prop that has been worked. I can assure you that a Fury that has been tweaked will rip a lot of props apart. I say that because I watched a 1 of 1 28 Fury do that to my stock 27 Fury.... and Robbie Patterson himself co-signed and said he has never seen a prop pull like the one he created for Glen B. (which this mod is called the Glen B. Cut/Cup) This is not to start a big argument. No one ever runs tweaked Fury's soley because they already run so great out the box. The only other guy that I know that has worked a fury some is Rob Shaw, and he did it for his Allison. I remember you/your dad having the barrel cut on your Fury, which for the Gambler will cause it to blow out getting on plane.
A worked Fury will be hard to beat... by any prop. Again this is on what I have witnessed...

did some tweaking on jack plate. Motor was a bit crooked and got it straightend up. Boat was light loaded and road with nose in the air. I think we will be going back to 26 tempest.

Just figured I would link this trim tab actuator info to a sticky thread, so I can find the model # at a later date.

Thanks man. This is by far the easiest boat to drive for me. I had a champion before this that would walk pretty bad if I was by myself but this thing runs smooth with only little corrections to keep it from walking. It's still got some more in it but I'm also only moderately loaded.

Riverrat make a trip on down to the Midwest rally and give this prop a spin! Also you got a foot more of boat than I do so 82.5 is moving with that much boat! I'll get pics of gps when I get my new unit mounted. I had to resort to a handheld gps that my girlfriend held while I drove the boat haha
This is a link to some Sterling info and specs.

I thought this info that River Rat posted is helpful to some people looking for specs on Gambler Bass Boats. Since it is not stickied anywhere i figured i would throw it on this thread, so it can be found at a later date.

Gambler 2200/250 Pro XS
Hi guys, I just bought a '90 Gambler with a 225 Mercury EFI but I am not real sure about the exact model boat I bought. It has 2100 decals in two different spots but I was under the impression that those were built later, not in 1990. My title doesn't tell me exactly what the boat is either. In the HIN it has GS126 for the model but I really don't know what I even have!!! Other than one sexy a$$ boat! I love this thing! It is in very nice shape for its age, it does have some scratches and scrapes but for what I paid and what it is I am very happy with my purchase. The previous owner said it will do 83 on GPS but I haven't had the time to really try the top end yet. Here are a few pics, what exactly do I have gentlemen???

looks more along the lines of a 206, not a 2000, 2100, 2200 series for sure. Very good looking rig!!

Thank you! And that was my impression as well. Where is a good place to find info on these older model Gamblers? I would like to see a pic of another boat that I can say for sure is the same as mine. The "GS126" in the Hull number is really throwing me off! I was also wondering how difficult would it be to modernize the cockpit with the newer style. That is one part of the boat I do want to change.
