Mega Live transducer defect revealed?

I had my first ML that I purchased in March 2022. I got cracks in its cable and HB send me a new ML in June of this year. I then got the TM interference after the update on the one I got in June. So new ML Hardware has come out since June of this year I assume.

Need the date it was made to be able to put a beginning or ending to the issue. Things sit for months in warehouses as they do in the store. Serial numbers must be used to figure it out.

Got to figure that the case. I figure the one they sent me as an replacement in June was one they just grabbed at their warehouse. My newest one on UPS truck and be here tomorrow. Will put on Saturday and cross my fingers my I Interference from my Ultrex 36v I-pilot link now gone.

I just got mine back today..it was replaced had to update to the 1.29 software. Hope it works well with my new Apex 13 I got in at the same time.

Yes. I called Monday,they sent me my RMA sheet and Mailing label and I dropped off at UPS Monday. They got it Wednesday and sent new unit out Wed. I am in SE Ky. about 8 hours from Eufala.

Just gotta throw this In this run of technological debate!
My solix g2 had rfi interference before the last update.
Anytime my unit switched from 20 to 40 fow, major rfi.
So the software problem takes a little hit there.
And I asked about the mlive 82 on my box and cable.
Hopefully I hope it doesn't stand for 8 bit x 2....

First 6 digits of the serial number is the date of manufacture... YYMMDD

The one I got in March of 2020 had theses as 1st 6 # 220202. The one I got from HB as a Warranty replacement in June of this year had these as First # 230314. So I assume my dates are 2/2/22 and 3/14/23. Thanks for that info I never knew that.

If you are getting trolling motor rfi with the one made in March this year That means almost all the ML units suffer whatever is wrong here. The plot thickens!

My mega live has the issues and I believe it's worse since the update. It was manufactured 08-23-2021

Mine was May 2021 so will see if the replacement I just got solves the issue.

I'm on my 3rd Mega Live. Hummingbird has replaced every time without any hesitation. So there customer service has been pretty good so far. All my issues were related to a cracked housing. My current ML is working with zero interference. All my interference problems were related to a hairline crack on the previous 2 transducers.

I just received and installed the replacement ML transducer, fished with it yesterday. It worked perfectly with zero interference. Had it dialed in within a couple of minutes, and spent 2 hours fishing with no equipment issues. Can definitely see increased sensitivity and improved bait tracking, while maintaining a clear screen. It felt good. And my replacement transducer came with 1.29 software installed.
