Have one here in town. Not as big or fancy at the ones in large cities but it does the trick. Retail prices but they have many sales , price match even internet prices and the staff is very knowledgeable, more so that our nearest Basspro/Cabelas. Plan on applying there for part time work when I retire next fall.

I have been to the one in Salt Lake City several times. Was surprised to see a Ferris Wheel inside.

Very good selection of fishing tackle and lures but did not notice bargains.

Scheels has been around for 120 years... started 20 miles from my home in Sabin MN, they been in Fargo ND and Moorhead Minn long time, Fargo store is always busy I mostly buy reloading supplies at the store (they don't ship primers or powder) and watch for fishing stuff on sale and buy online.

I was hoping they'd build one in NW Arkansas, but looks like you Okie's won out on that one.

Oh yeah, they have a lot of fishing stuff too.
The way NW Arkansas is growing they should have on before long.
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.

Scheel's is a great store! Wish they were closer than an hour+ in the metromess traffic. I visit about 1-2 a year and they usually get $100+ out of my wallet.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!

AWESOME store. Employee owned and good Christian conservative values.

Plus it’s not a giant cheap Made in China sellout like Bass Pro.

I did not read the first 3 pages but. Scheels is awesome with amazing customer service always enjoy going into the store. Like how they occasionally do no minimum free shipping also.

Why is that? I've been in lots of Cablea's, BPs, Scheels and Academy stores. Academy is, by far, at the bottom of my list.

I have always been a fan of Scheels.

They seem to have a better selection than the other local big box stores like Cabelas and Fleet Farm.

I remember they were the first in the area to sell Rad Lures' Chatterbait. They didnt sell well then and ended up in clearance for .97 each. I remember buying a bunch and only a few years ago did I go through those originals.

We don't have one near me, but spent a lot of money in the one in Fort Collins, Colorado when I was out working on Fire several years ago......Loved the store!

Just visited the new Sheels in Tulsa 2 hours ago. They are quite the mash up of a sporting goods store. In addition to more racks of clothing than a typical JC PENNY, they have a cafe, a candy store, an arcade, a toy department, a two lane bowling alley, furniture, home decor, pet supplies, high end smokers and grills the likes of which I've never seen anywhere, and of course the Ferris wheel. That's all without mentioning hunting, shooting, archery, shoes, exercise equipment, and kayaks. I must say that when I finally found the fishing department I was very impressed with how they organized everything. BPS could learn some things from Sheels.

The stores have a wide selection of products and I would shop them if they were local.
