I mean I get it, and I can see the argument both ways. I just feel like since the whole point of Heavy Hitters is BIG Bass, the biggest bass of the entire event should be the big prize.

I sure wouldn’t have risked using a GLoomis rod like that. I’d been using his $49 rod or an Ugly Stick.

Jordan is a closer. No doubt about that. If he’s in contention watch out.

Shame you couldn’t fish it. You would have won it easily.

Why have a $600 rod and be scared to use it?

My vote definitely goes to Jordan Lee.
Lee is certainly among the best. It's always going to be a subjective opinion about who is the best.

I think overall he is the best right now due to the fact he has won multiple classics and other big tournaments in both circuits. Wheeler has too, but I give the slight edge to Lee, since he is equally as dangerous up shallow flipping and frogging as he is offshore. Has always been a likable, laid-back dude as well.

There is zero doubt in my mind that JLee and Wheeler have put up impressive numbers. They are similiar in age and when the history book closes there will be people out there that have the same opinion as me. JLee has done what he accomplished without a gray cloud or without a lot of controversy regarding how he played the game. On paper is doesn't change any of the numbers but there's no column for integrity or doing things the right way. If such statics exist JLee buy far is better than Wheeler.

LOL give it up the only reason there is gray area is because wheeler is with the hated MLF. Jordan being praised for winning a MLF event now that he's back with Bass. I like both tours but the Wheeler BS is over the top jealousy.
