I've liked all of my bassboats including my current P4 but honestly the boat I've probably had the most fun in is my river boat. 2001 Crestliner 1650SC with a factory premix '95 Yamaha 40. I got the hull, motor and trailer for like $2500 and then overbuilt the hell out of it. 24V Ultrex, lithiums, hydraulic JP, beavertails and a deck I built out of 1/2" Coosa so it'd stay light. I live on a pretty shallow river and have it out for at least a couple of hours most weekends. The little 40 is bulletproof and for some reason I can still get water pressure with the cav plate just out of the water. Have fished some smaller tournaments out of it and done well. Something about how simple everything is.

My fav?. Probably my first right out of high school in 71. A 13.5 ft Kingfisher Bass boat. In line seats , front stick steering, with a 35 hp Rude. Run up on a sandbar in Venice, just get out and push it back into deeper water. Run up on hyacinths, just run through em. Want to push pole up on some shallow bass, not a problem. Run in 4 inches of water? No problem. Probably caught thousands of bass in the 5 years I owned that deal. Wished I would have save it for the grandkids.

It is a tie between my 2004 skeeter and my z20 nitro pro I have now. I like the lay outs and the rides. They fish well also.

That is a tough one, probably my very first one, I was 24 and bought a brand new 1986 Ranger Bass Masters Classic, dam I was proud of that boat, I would wash it before going to the lake and wash it before coming home.

Earl builds awesome boats, but I prefer bay fishing to running offshore. An offshore trip around here will run a couple hundred in fuel at least every trip. Too rich for my blood and frequency of fishing. I am
afraid even his 26HB is out of my price range.

I've had 40 bass boats, and it's difficult to choose a favorite, but my 1991 Ranger 361V is sure at the top. If I found another in mint condition I'd be tempted to buy it.

My 1997 Stratos 201 XL DC was an awesome boat for me, had it 20 years with very few issues. Rode well and would get up and go with a Johnson 225 HO. I talked to Earl Bentz one time at the Jet-A-Marine tournament on Kentucky Lake and he said he designed that boat with Kentucky Lake in mind. I also had a Champion 210 that was an excellent boat. I currently have a 2022 Nitro Z21 XL that has been very nice to fish out of and drive.

If I can have two answers it would be my Ranger R-93 duel console with 200 FICT for performance . It was a Rocket , held up to rough great lakes waters, and I won a bunch of money in that boat. After my Cancer money was an issue as was my health so I had to ease back into fishing. I bought a 1989 374 V with an intruder 175 for $4000. I put about $1000 dollars into it and fished it for about 5 years worry free. I was no longer tournament fishing but man could that boat catch fish.

2013 Skeeter ZX20. More from a memories standpoint. Was fairly quick and rode well. Fit and finish was fairly good. Just a solid all around rig!

I bought my first new Ranger in 1985--370V. Johnson GT150--Johnson Trolling motor--single axle trailer.. I loved that boat--Finally sold it to one of my son-in-laws in (I think) 2008 because it sat on the trailer more than I fished it.Always had a newer Ranger in the driveway..In 1985 most of us that could afford Rangers did not know the limitations back then. I (my wife-brothers and friends) fished out of that boat from New Orleans to New York. Bullet proof motor---bullet proof boat----Nothing for me to put it in the mighty Mississippi in Memphis and never think about the danger. Simpler time--means--I never should have taken those risk on rivers. Lakes--oxbow OK-----Rivers --not so good--But Damn we caught fish and had a good time........

I have had a 90's Bass Cat Margay with a 115 on it for around 8 years, a 2002 ProCraft Super Pro with a 200 on it, and my current 2024 Z20 with a 250 on it. Z20 for me... but it is the newest with all the bells and whistles on it. That ProCraft lasted me 20 years of fishing fun. The Z20 gets on plane soooo much quicker than the ProCraft and doesn't fumigate the water when you start up the 2002 2 stroke EFI Merc

My current 2016 Ranger Z 520 C. Great fishing platform and good in rough water. I loved my 2006 519 as it was a great fishing platform but rode a bit rough.
