    New Livescope Setup

Hello, currently running an all HB network with MegaLive on a Targetlock turret. Will be making the switch to Livescope with a standalone head unit on the bow. What are the recommendations for a head unit and also what would everybody recommend for a motorized turret? Any other advice or tips/tricks would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Best bang for your buck would be to grab one of the Gen 1 Ultras from Bass Pro Shop

    Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 106sv 10" - $999.97
    https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/garm...t54-transducer

    Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 126SV 12" - 1,499.97
    https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/garm...ucer-101385035

As for the Livescope you want the LVS34 transducer and GLS10 black box combo - retails at $1,699.99
But if you talk to one of the BBC sponsors like Hydrilla gear, Russel Maine, my green outdoors they can offer you a deal on the combo

As for the motorized turret someone else will have to speak to that I don’t have one

Are you keeping some or all of the HB stuff? You can put the LVS-34 onto the Target Lock shaft if there is an HB unit that can network with TL and ML. ML doesn't have to be pinging in order for TL to do it's thing.

I was under the assumption that the TL wouldn’t function without a connected live ducer. If that’s not true, my guess would be that some functions would not be available. I’ll have to play with that and see if programmed functions on the remote would work. I am fairly pleased with how the TL operates so that would definitely save me money if i could continue to run the TL.

You still need the ML ducer powered up. You just don't need to have it pinging.

While I use both ML and LVS-34, you may be able to put the ML xducer on the deck or in a compartment if you don't want to use it at the same time as LVS-34.

Right now I have an LVS-34 mounted on the TL and the ML xducer on the trolling motor. I had them the other way around but feel I get the most bang for my buck being able to target lock the LVS-34.

    I have a Gen 1 Ultra 126xsv for Livescope. A 12" screen is better than a 10" screen.

Thanks for the info. Stowing the Live ducer may be doable, personally I probably wouldn't run both on the turret. I already have quite the monstrosity hanging off the bow of my boat.
