    Black Gelcoat [boat bottom] Repair

What's everyone using for basic gelcoat repair on the bottom of a black hull boat and where are you getting it from? Bought a Ranger Angler as a second boat last spring and the previous owner appears to have scuffed a rock on a strake in multiple places and I'd like to make it a winter project to fix it. The options for gel seem to be limitless, just looking for someone that has real world experience with a specific product.

Evercoat marine patch. Mix it up and patch it like drywall. Works great.

I would order the gelcote from ranger directly. It'll be a perfect match.

    Thank you,

Post in the restoration forums there’s a couple guys in there great at glass work --black Gelcoat would be fairly easy compared to metal flake. Justin above has some videos online about it also

Call Ranger parts with your Hull number. They will sell a direct match for gel. You will also need vinyl hardener and wax additive for gelcoat. YouTube has good videos. Solid black is very easy to work with.
