    97 200 EFI Rebuild

    currently rebuilding my Mercury I see options for top and bottom guided pistons as for as I know the connecting rods are stock and im reusing them. My question is what is the difference of top vs Bottom guided pistons and would top guided pistons work while using the stock rods. Serial Number # is 0G530745

    your came with top guided rods , bottom guided uses the crank end to align rod , top uses piston wrist pin
