    Caymas CX21

    Been owning Rangers for years
But got a DEAL on a CX 21
Been to lake 3 times in it
I really like what Earl has done with this hull design
    Not a speed demon
but I have been just riding around looking for wakes & rough water
    Im Impressed
just thought I would post my opinion
Sold my Ranger a few years ago
was not looking for a boat. BUT
Got a DEAL on this 1
Guess I’m a Caymas fan now
    LOL
oh I did notice that you do have your trailer just right to get it to load right
Thats my only bitch at moment
But I did just get it. lol
coming from a fella who only gets to fish a hand full of times a year
Hope that changes here soon. lol

I bought a CX21 Pro this weekend. I have been looking at Caymus for a few years. I finally pulled the trigger and got a great deal from Jasper Outboards in Jasper, Tx. I am wainting for them to complete the rigging with the additions I wanted. I can't wait to get on the water with it.

23 Fury usually does a great job, but it all depends on how you load it us with tackle, fuel and options.

I run a 24 fury with medium size vent plugs in all holes. Come out of the hole with hydraulic plate set at 3 on the guage and it's not to bad loaded and real good light. I can run out at 66 full fuel and empty wells. The fury doesn't give much lift so I am switching to a Tempest plus.

Get those rpms up there (6100) and you will get lift, the fury 23 is hard to beat on a 21.

I'm turning 6150 RPM at 66MPH with plate at 6 and trim at 8 degrees. Not sure there's anything left to try except another prop.

If you want more lift, send your prop to Mark, he can give you more lift and speed especially turning 6150 rpms, you probably getting a lot of slipping.

What are you running for plugs in the vent holes?

You don't want any vent plugs in a Fury, they are dialed in most of the time on hole shot.
