By myself 3/4 fuel, with my usual load, I normally saw 70+, to 72.5 in cooler temps. 68-69 with 2 people. Livewells full 2 people would see 66-67.

About the same for mine. Two weeks ago, full tank/livewells/2 people, I was getting 65-66 in 95 degree weather/humidity.

Alone in cooler weather and a light load and a quarter tank, I've seen 75.

I think most of us buy the Z21 because of the ride and it fishes like a barge, not for speed. Those guys buy the Z20.

On a side note, my buddy bought a Z20 two weeks before I bought my Z21, hes fished out of my boat several times now and he's pissed and wants a Z21 now.

is the z20 really much faster? Mine seems to be roughly the same speed as your z21, maybe a little faster top end unloved. that said I haven’t had either the water conditions or lake size to really run mine top end all that much.

Maybe 1-3mph depending on the load, but I think the Z21 more than makes up for it in the ride/size.

The 2019 and newer Z20 with the NVT hull is a better ride than the previous Z20. Not a huge difference but I can tell you it handles big boat wakes better. My fishing partner has a 2018 and I have a 2019. Both of us notice the difference and give the nod to the 2019.

But with that said, the Z21, by far has a better ride and platform for fishing.

the main reasons I went with the z20 was the nvt, slightly smaller size, better top end speed and a little bit cheaper. Seeing the top end speed of the z21 and better ride and layout maybe should have gone with the 21. Oh well, very happy with my boat so far.

70-73 alone all gear in boat. 66-71 2 people depending on if going with or against wind/current and the weight of the passenger.

I average 80........seriously, about 67-69 depending on how much gas I'm carrying and if there's another person in the boat with me. I could probably hit 71 or 72 in perfect conditions. I've talked to enough people that have hit those numbers; but I'm content in the high 60's.

I’m not overly concerned with speed when I bought my Z20. To me it was the size I liked better than the Z21. Okay the price too but when you are spending $50,000 or above I suspect you are going to get which one you want being they are about $5,000 difference on average.
I just liked to size being what it is, I was going to get either a Z20 or Z21, just liked the Z20 better.
Speed wise I am getting around 66 mph full tank, two people and all my tackle (which is A LOT). By myself cool morning, surface is calm and I will get maybe 72mph.

my new 2020 Z21 if I am by myself and have a half a tank no water in live wells I get about 72 to 73 mph but if I have my partner in the boat with a full tank and full live wells I get about 66 to 67 fast enough for a big boat and the ride is awesome

Is everyone running the 23 pitch prop that comes with the motor? Or has anyone tried any others?
