Anyone fished Lake Norman recently and noticed a turnover? I fished Mt Island today and the water is filthy from Cowans Ford dam all the way down to Latte Plantation!

Hello, new to the forum. I live in Coulwood, drive over Mt. Island to fish Norman. Fished Friday, water is pretty dirty. Put in at BF Landing, fished 77 first came back to the dam, nothing. Went to Slant Bridge, plenty of bait and fish. Caught A few until about 7:30 pm and then they fired up.
Doubt Charlotte lakes have turned over yet prolly have a ways to go. With surface temps still in the 80s.

It happens every year in the summer time on Norman below the hot hole. Not necessarily a turnover…..the manganese releases in the water is what I was told every year mid summer.
