Have a friend repowering this boat with a new 225 4 stroke merc. Has anyone done this and if so what prop are you running? As well as any setback?

6-8" set back likely good 23 fury 3 blade or bravo 1 --- working off of what I had on my 20ss -my new ranger is bigger than my 20ss was. but the stratos is a great hull- a 250 would be sooo much better!

The 2000 SS thru 2008 XL Stratos 200 and 201’ will perform very similar to a Phoenix 721 and 920 models with the slight edge in speed to the Stratos. The running surface hulls are nearly identical. I would baseline some Phoenix set ups because there are plenty more to compare vs repowered Stratos boats.

10" setback with a 23" pitch Tempest is what I would try.
