OK To Use Old Boat Wax?

I have some Mecguires boat wax that is probably 6 - 8 years old. Does wax go bad with age, and how long can you use it?

If it isn't dried up I don't see why it wouldn't work just fine. Shake it up good.

As long as it is still in liquid/pasts form all should be good.

I found a bottle of Meguiars liquid wax earlier this year that was in the back of a storage cabinet that I rarely use. I remember buying it in 2009 when I bought my previous boat. It was still in liquid form so I shook it up real good and used it on my current boat. It worked perfect and put a slick, amazing shine on my already shiny boat.

If it’s paste, then it’s fine. Some of the poly liquid waxes do loose wet components that’s water and other chemicals. It may work fine and won’t hurt anything, it just may not work the same. In theory it should be more concentrated.
