Getting water out of live well

1998 Skeeter ZX 2002 C . Great old boat but it has no pump out. Too old for getting on ground with weigh bag filling from drain out.

Would like some ideas of getting water out of live well. Pump of some sort maybe?

    TIA

I keep one of those plastic containers that coffee comes in and scoop it out into the weigh in bag.

A gallon milk jug with the top cut off would work well for this.

A long piece of hose can make a siphon pretty quick.

Submerge all of the hose in the livewell and make sure it fills with water. Cover one end of the hose with your thumb and pull it out of the livewell and into the weigh bag. Make sure the weigh bag is below the water level in the livewell and take your thumb off. It should siphon out into the bag. Just make sure the bag is lower than the water in the livewell and no air gets sucked into the hose.

Are you aerator fittings and drain hose easily accessed? If so, you can add a recirc/pumpout from flow-rite.

Can always just do the move where you smush the bag down into the livewell and get water that way.

No pump out. Dip your bag in the lake.

What about one of those battery powered kerosene pumps they’re not very big. You could put it in the bottom and Livewell and pump it out. Fairly easy with that. They’re only 2 foot long are so.

My pumpout is pitiful so I carry a tea pitcher and just scoop it out into the bag.

Kerosene pump as stated, one with a plastic hose on each end and a pump bulb in the center. Once you get almost all of it out finish up with a bulb like you put brake fluid in your master cylinder, then mop the remainder out with a towel or something.

Years ago i had a skeeter that did not have any pump outs.....i figured out what was needed, bought supplies/parts and did the work to add pump outs......not sure how accessible the bilge area is or even if you have the right pump system to just add pumps outs....

I agree… just add pump out. I know someone with older Stratos and they added pump out.

Plastic drink pitcher from dollar store. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Why tear your boat apart with changes/plumbing/wiring that you don’t need?
