It’s Saturday. Time to learn how to post a link. Your thread will come back to the top for us when you do. It’s an easy internet search. You got this.
Hang on. I'll help you in 77 minutes.

Here's the link - nothing on the ABA site about it.
the rules is the rules you have to have them an enforce them because if you dont they wont go by any of them.
I guess it can be hard following a rule that will be implemented in 2025

GOOD!
You see way to many Elites and MLF anglers put their life jacket/suspenders on and not snap or zip it up and many when they do they only snap one clasp
Young anglers watch these events and see the pros get away with this kind of stuff and think its ok for them to do the same
"The handicapped angler"
I fished the ABA in 2023 and the rule was in place then.
2013 Bullet 21XRD
2020 Mercury 300R 1E080760
3 Garmin 126SV
LVS34/LVS32
Garmin Force
8' Raptors
Also says combustion engine, now there are electrics.
Most clubs and organizations I've fished has this rule in place.
Not only that but they are trying to penalize guys for a rule violation that is something they haven't even invented yet.. Clearly says 2025.
This was a new rule that was implemented in 2025 by ABA.
I looked up the angler mentioned - there is nothing on his facebook page about this.
Agree, and it drives me crazy the amount of Elites and or other "Pros" you see on their YouTube channel making videos running on plane, no jacket, no kill-switch. Hell, even on TV shows you will see those guys from time to time not wearing PFD's and kill-switches while running on plane.
A few years ago a bunch of guys out here got DQ for not having the kill switch lanyard hooked up
It’s in the 2024 rules.

The 2025 must have been a typo. This is a common rule, and I can't believe some anglers still won't follow simple rules.
Do you guys fish a lot of larger tournaments that don’t have this rule?? I’ve never even fished a small tournament that didn’t have this rule. They should all know better imo
Meh. Chances of needing the life jacket is really small. About the same as needing an epi-pen.
